11th Imsutemjen Memorial Table Tennis Tournament concludes

Mokokchung, Dec.14 (EMN): The 11th edition of the Imsutemjen Memorial Table Tennis Tournament organised by Longterok Senden concluded successfully at Amphitheatre, Ungma village on December 13 evening.
R Nungshilepden Jamir, Chairman, Ungma Village Council, was the special guest of the closing ceremony.
Jamir, in his speech, congratulated the Longterok Senden for organising the tournament for the 11th year adding that the tournament is proof of how the club is growing and helping the village in making its mark by sending representatives to the district-level competitions.
He also encouraged the young players by saying that if they play in the truest sense of the game, they will reach greater heights.
He further encouraged the losing teams to not be discouraged but to continue with the same sportsmanship.
Assistant General Secretary, Sports Society Soyim, Talitoshi Jamir also gave a brief exhortation. He said that the tournament was a blessing for the youngsters in the village. He added that Sports Society Soyim is ever ready to work together in unity with the club.
He also highlighted the difference between individual and group games and encouraged the players to remain focused in the game and reach greater goals. Meanwhile, N Akok Longkumer, Organising committee, pronounced the vote of thanks.
