Karbi Anlong police seizes 4 quintal of ganja; 2 arrested

Diphu, Nov.20 (EMN): Karbi Anglong police seized four quintals of marijuana (ganja) from a truck bearing registration number UP-14AT- 7851 during a naka check at Khatkhati in Karbi Anglong district in the wee hours of Sunday.

According to police, acting on a tip off, a naka was set up in front of SBI Khatkhati by Khatkhati police station along with CRPF C 20 BN Camp Bokajan, and the joint team intercepted one truck bearing registration no. UP-14A T-7851.

After a thorough search of the vehicle, four quintals of ganja were recovered, which were hidden in a modified secret chamber on the body of the truck.

In this regard, two persons have been arrested, namely Ramayan Yadav (52) son of Tulasi Yadav and and Bhola Yadav (55), son of Lt Kailash Yadav, both from Arah Bhojpur, Bihar.
