3 NCC cadets of SJC (A) receive NCC CWS scholarship-2023
DIMAPUR — Three NCC senior wing cadets of St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Jakhama, namely junior under officer Kerhieno Joyce Chaya, cadet Ambikali R. Mech and sergeant Bangmei Konyak were awarded the NCC Cadets’ Welfare Society (CWS) Scholarship-2023 at the NCC Group-Kohima Level (Nagaland State level), on June 12.
The scholarship was conferred to them by Col Manjeet Katoch, CO, 1 NL Girls’ BN NCC, Kohima on June 25 during the Combined Annual Training Camp-37 (CATC-37) held at Patkai Christian College, Chümoukedima–Seithekema, conducted by 1 NL Girls’ BN NCC-Kohima, an update stated.
Each cadet received an amount of INR 6,000 each.
Forty eight senior wing cadets and six senior division cadets of SJC (A) participated in the CATC-37 held at Patkai Christian College from June 17 to the 26th.
Simultaneously, in another camp called Combined Annual Training Camp-50 held at 24 Assam Rifles, Wokha by 25 Nagaland Battalion NCC-Mokokchung, one senior wing and two senior division cadets of the college took part.
