8 tribal hohos resolve to form common apex body for Nagaland Nagas
The eight tribal hohos of Nagaland have stated that any organisation claiming to “represent and stand for the interests of the Nagas should be routed and mandated through the tribal apex hohos”.
This was resolved during a consultative meeting of the eight tribal hohos — Angami Public Organisation, Ao Senden, Chakhesang People’s Organisation, Lotha Hoho, Pochury Hoho, Rengma Hoho, Sumi Hoho and Nagaland Zeliang People’s Organisation – held at Angami Public Organisation Hall, Kohima, on Tuesday.
The house also resolved “to form a common apex body for the Nagas of Nagaland at the earliest”.
In a four-point resolution signed by the leaders of the tribal hohos, the house demanded “all the Naga political groups both underground and overground, to ‘come together’ for an amicable political solution at the earliest”.
It went on to appeal to all the churches of Nagaland and beyond to pray for the unification and solution of the protracted Naga political issue on Sunday, January 22.
