Nine more Covid-19 cases; total recovery at 92

Dimapur, June 15 (EMN):
Nine more Covid-19 positive cases were recorded on Monday, taking the state’s tally to 177.

“Nine new cases of Covid-19 positive have been reported out of 418 samples tested. Five from Dimapur QC and four from Peren QC,” the minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, tweeted on Monday morning.

Health authorities in Nagaland have declared 92 patients as ‘recovered’ so far. As per the Health department’s update, there are 85 active cases and no death till date.

It may be mentioned that Nagaland recorded its first Covid-19 positive cases on May 25 when three returnees from Chennai tested positive for the virus.

Till date, 6560 samples have been sent for testing, out of which results for 1294 are awaited.

Traffic restriction

In view of the special train from Delhi scheduled to arrive on June 16, the Dimapur police has announced a traffic advisory for the day.

There will be restriction on vehicular traffic one hour prior and four hours post arrival of the train along the designated route from Dimapur railway station to Agri Expo site in 4th Mile via traffic control, Zone I –Hotel Theja Fort-Burma Camp junction-Veterinary junction-Old Dhansiri Bridge-Purana Bazaar junction-TK Service to Agri Expo site.

“However, in case of early/late arrival of the special train, the vehicular traffic restriction shall be enforced accordingly: one hour prior and four hours post arrival,” it added.
