No new Covid-19 cases in Nagaland; 109 recovered so far

Dimapur, June 18 (EMN): Six more Covid-19 patients were declared recovered on Thursday, taking the state’s tally of recovered cases to 109.
According to the minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, four of them were from Dimapur and the remaining two from Jalukie in Peren district.
The current recovery rate is at 56%.
No new Covid-19 cases were detected on Thursday, the second instance of Nagaland recording zero positive cases in a day.
The total tally remained at 193 cases: 84 active and 109 recovered, as per the Health department’s daily composite update.
According to Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha, all the 84 active cases are asymptomatic.
“As per the distribution of the 193 cases by age, there are four cases between 0-17 years, 182 cases between 18-44 years, five cases between 45-64 years and two cases between 65-74 years. As per the distribution of gender, there are 124 males and 69 females.
“Till date, a total of 7,670 samples have been tested. The results of 6,692 samples have been received and 978 samples are awaited. Out of the 7,670 samples, 5,010 samples have been sent to the BSL-3 lab at the Naga Hospital Authority Kohima for testing till today (June 18), and the result of 4,169 samples have been received, and out of which 137 samples have tested positive,” he informed in his daily briefing.
Currently, there are 7,969 persons are presently under facility quarantine and 1,709 persons under home quarantine, Sinha said.
