Dimapur, June 26 (EMN): Sixteen fresh Covid-19 positive cases were recorded on Friday, taking the total number of positive cases to 371 in the state.
“16 new cases of Covid-19 positive have been reported out of 539 samples tested. 15 patients from Kohima QC and one from Peren QC,” the minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, tweeted.
Health authorities in Nagaland have declared 162 patients as recovered so far. As per the Health department’s update, there are 211 active cases in the state.
In his daily briefing, Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha informed that 204 active cases are asymptomatic and five active cases are mild symptomatic.
“As per the distribution of the 371 cases by age, there are four cases between 0-17 years, 353 cases between 18-44 years, 12 cases between 45-64 years and two cases between 65-74 years. As per the distribution of gender, there are 265 males and 106 females
“Till date, a total of 11,060 samples have been tested and out of this, 7,683 samples have been received at the BSL-3 lab at the Naga Hospital Authority Kohima. Out if this 7,683, a total of 6,588 samples have been tested and 312 samples have tested positive. In addition, a total of 3,971 samples have been tested by TrueNat, out of which 70 samples tested positive and sent for confirmation by RT-PCR. 3,417 samples have tested negative. A total of 5,960 persons are presently under facility quarantine,” he said.
