Dimapur, June 28 (EMN): Nagaland breached the 400-mark on Sunday as 28 more Covid-19 positive cases were recorded, taking the state’s tally to 415.
“25 new cases of Covid-19 positive have been reported out of 609 samples tested. Twenty patients from Dimapur QC, three from Kohima QC and two from Peren QC,” the minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, tweeted in the morning.
Later in the afternoon, Phom tweeted again stating that three more cases have been detected, all from Mon quarantine centre.
Health authorities in Nagaland have declared 164 patients as recovered so far. As per the Health department’s update, there are 251 active cases in the state.
According to Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha, all the 251 active cases are asymptomatic.
“As per the distribution of the 415 cases by age, there are four cases between 0-17 years, 396 cases between 18-44 years, 13 cases between 45-64 years and two cases between 65-74 years. Till date, a total of 11,449 samples have been tested.
“Out of the 11,449 samples, 7,794 samples have been received at the BSL-3 lab at the Naga Hospital Authority Kohima, and a total of 7,315 samples have been tested; out of which 341 samples have tested positive. A total of 4,548 samples have been tested by TrueNat also, out of which 108 samples have tested positive and sent for confirmation by RT-PCR. A total of 5,632 persons are presently under facility quarantine,” Sinha said in his daily briefing.
