Nagaland’s Covid-19 cases reach 539

Dimapur, July 3 (EMN):
Four more Covid-19 positive cases were reported on Friday, taking the tally in Nagaland to 539.

‘Out of 259 samples tested, four fresh positive cases of Covid-19 have been detected. Three in Mon QC and one in Kohima QC,’ the minister of Health, S Pangnyu Phom, tweeted.

Till date, Health authorities in Nagaland have declared 228 patients as ‘recovered’ and there were 311 active cases in the state.

In his daily briefing, Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha informed that all the 311 active cases are asymptomatic.

“Till date, a total of 12,875 samples have been tested. Results of 12,088 samples have been received. Out of the 12,875 samples, 8,259 samples have been received at the BSL-3 lab at the Naga Hospital Authority Kohima and the BSL-2 lab at CIHSR, Dimapur and a total of 8,213 samples have been tested, out of which 425 samples have tested positive.

“A total of 6,543 samples have been tested by TrueNat, out of which 150 samples tested positive and sent for confirmation by RT-PCR. A total of 4,181 persons are presently under facility quarantine,” he said.
