Nagaland registers 35 new cases; tally at 625

Dimapur, July 6 (EMN): The number of Covid-19 positive cases in Nagaland breached the 600-mark as 35 more were reported on Monday, taking the total tally of the state to 625 so far.
As per Health department data, there were 382 active cases as of July 6. Authorities have declared 243 patients as recovered, till date.
The current recovery rate is at 39%.
In his daily briefing, Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha informed that 381 active cases are asymptomatic and one symptomatic case is in mild category.
“Till date, a total of 13, 759 samples have been tested. Results of 13,180 samples have been received. Out of the 13,180 samples, 8,529 samples have been tested at the BSL-3 lab at the Naga Hospital Authority Kohima, out of which, 451 samples have tested positive.
“In addition, a total of 7,454 samples have been tested by TrueNat, out of which 208 samples tested positive and sent for confirmation by RT-PCR. Further, 7,090 samples have tested negative. A total of 3,807 persons are presently under facility quarantine,” he said.
