Nagaland Covid-19: 53 new cases; tally at 1566

Dimapur, July 30 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 53 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday, taking the state’s tally to 1566.
In his daily Covid-19 briefing, Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha informed that there were 995 active cases and four deaths as of July 30.
“As per the severity of symptoms, all the 935 active cases are asymptomatic. Till date, a total of 23,703 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 21,507 samples have been received. Out of the 16,513 samples received at the BSL-3 lab at the Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK), a total of 14,471 samples have been tested and 1,071 samples have tested positive.
“In addition, a total of 15,895 samples have been sent for testing on TrueNat. A total of 2,502 persons are presently under facility quarantine,” he informed.
