Nagaland Covid-19 news: 93 new cases detected

Dimapur, August 9 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 93 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday, taking the state’s tally to 2781 so far.
This was informed by the minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.
“Out of 800 samples tested, 93 new positive cases have been detected. 62 in Dimapur, 20 in Kohima, 8 in Peren, 2 in Mon and 1 in Zunheboto. Contact tracing is fully put in force and all primary contacts are under self isolation to avoid further transmission,” the minister tweeted.
According to information provided by the Health department till the time of filing this report, the state has 1878 active Covid-19 cases, 893 recoveries and seven deaths.
In regards to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 1180 active cases, followed by Kohima – 430 Mon – 166, Peren -11 , Phek – 9, Mokokchung- 5 and Zunheboto- 59, Wokha – 14, Tuensang – 1, and Longleng and Kiphire has zero cases so far.
