Power outage hits several colonies in Kohima

Kohima, Nov. 20 (EMN): Power supply in Kohima has become irregular, as is the case almost every year during winter.

Colonies like AG, Porterland, Chandmari, New Minister’s Hill, among others, were without electricity since early morning on Friday and residents were wondering when it will be restored.

Some residents complained that students appearing for online exams were facing difficulties as they had no means to recharge their phone batteries.

Even those lucky enough to have inverters said that the batteries have run out due to the prolonged hours without power supply. 

Landline numbers provided by the Power department were not operating when called.
