Nagaland reports one Covid-19 case, 5 recoveries
142 more people succumb to the disease in India

Dimapur, March 3 (EMN): Nagaland recorded only one fresh Covid-19 positive case on Thursday, taking the state’s tally to 35,414 and active caseload to 82.
The state’s cumulative recoveries also increased to 33, 097 with the recovery of five more patients in the last 24 hours.
The death toll remained unchanged at 752 with no fresh death reported on Thursday.
According to data from the department of Health and Family Welfare, one positive case was reported in Dimapur, while five in Dimapur recovered.
Out of 82 active cases in the state, 69 are asymptomatic, 12 mild and one on ICU ventilator.
In terms of distribution of active cases, Dimapur has 52 infections, 16 in Kohima, five in Peren, four in Mokokchung, two each in Tuensang and Mon and one Wokha, while Zunheboto, Longleng, Phek and Kiphire are currently Covid-19 free.
6,561 new cases in India
India’s Covid-19 case tally rose to 4,29,45,160 with 6,561 people testing positive for the infection on Thursday according to Union Health Ministry data.
The death toll climbed to 5,14,388 with 142 more people succumbing to the disease, the data stated.
The active cases declined to 77,152, with the recovery of 14,947 patients in the last 24.
The number of people who have recuperated from the disease so far surged to 4,23,53,620, it said.
The cumulative Covid vaccine doses administered in the country so far under the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination drive has exceeded 178.02 crore.
