Dimapur, April 14 (EMN): Ahead of the Dr. T Ao inter-district football championship to be held at Mokokchung from April 18 to 29th and to strengthen the brotherhood, a friendly match was played between Kohima District Football Association (KDFA) and Football Association of Tseminyu District (FATD) at Indira Gandhi stadium in Kohima.

FATD team manager Chenonlo Woch, said that the new team, which was once part of KDFA is grateful to it for the constant support.

Mentioning that the FATD players have reaped benefits through the KDFA, he hoped that the existing spirit of brotherhood between the two will only grow though the players have been divided to two teams now.

KDFA president, Mathew Yhome also encouraged the players ahead of the match to play a safe game and advised the players to be disciplined and maintain the spirit of sportsmanship.

The exhibition match went in favour of KDFA with the scoreline 3-1.

It may be mentioned that FATD was recently formed following the upgrade of Tseminyu subdivision under Kohima to that of a district.
