Karbi Anglong: KSA joins protest with RTI activists against job scam

Diphu, April 22 (EMN): On the third day of the protest by RTI activists — Podmo Teron and Hemphu Engti — against alleged the illegal appointment in the office of joint director of Health and Service, Karbi Anglong and  Soil and conservation department under Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), the Karbi Students Association (KSA) also joined in at the KAAC Secretariat.

KSA President, Thangsing Timung, while informing media said that, ‘Podmo Teron and Hemphu Engti are protesting not for themselves but for the youths. We have all evidence in our hand related to the document of job advertisement and appointment’.

He asked the concern Executive Member (EM) Khonsing Rongpi, to show the proof if the job was given on merit basis.

Timung also challenged Rongpi and said, ‘Council is not a personal property and jobs should be given  on merit basis’.

He also requested KAAC, Chief Executive Member, Tuliram Ronghang to intervene in the matter.

It may be mentioned that Teron and Engti alleged the involvement of EM KAAC, Khonsing Rongpi in the job scam at the office of joint director of Health and Service, Karbi Anglong and demanded that the appointment be cancelled.
