Nagaland records 20 new COVID-19 cases; active cases cross 90
Dimapur, July 22 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 20 new COVID-19 infections on Friday, pushing the active cases in the state to 92 and tally to 35,675, while the death toll remained unchanged at 760 with no fresh fatalities registered in the last 24 hours.
An update by the department of Health and Family Welfare informed that 12 fresh cases were reported in Dimapur, seven in Kohima and one in Mokokchung. It added that 11 recoveries – four in Dimapur, five in Kohima and two in Peren – have taken the total number of recoveries to 33,319.
Out of the active cases, 36 are asymptomatic, 48 mild, six moderate on oxygen, and two in ICU on ventilator. In terms of district-wise distribution of cases, Kohima has 44, Dimapur 31, four each in Longleng and Phek, three each in Mokokchung and Wokha, and one each in Mon, Peren, and Zunheboto.
