Dimapur, Aug.9 (EMN): The number of active COVID-19 cases in Nagaland has declined to 53 with eight recoveries – four in Wokha, two in Kohima, and one each in Longleng and Dimapur — registered on Tuesday.
The state’s COVID tally increased to 35,846, with eight new cases — four in Mon, two in Dimapur, and one each in Kohima and Longleng — logged during the same period.
An update from the Health department informed that the total recoveries increased to 33,514.
The death toll increased to 768 with one fresh fatality reported during the last 24 hours.
Out of the 53 active cases, 34 are asymptomatic and 19 mild. In terms of district-wise distribution of cases, Dimapur has 19, Kohima 10, six in Longleng, four each in Wokha and Mon, three each in Mokokchung and Zunheboto, two in Tuensang, and one each in Phek and Kiphire.
