CII Nagaland donates 468 BP instruments to H&FW department

Kohima, Sep 26. (EMN): The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Nagaland Branch, on Monday donated 468 BP instruments to the Health & Family Welfare department, as part of its corporate social responsibility.
Chairperson of CII Nagaland State Council and CEO Faith Hospital, Dimapur, Hokhuli Sema handed over the BP machines to principal director of Health and Family Welfare, Dr. K Vikato Kinimi, under CII’s relief and rehabilitation interventions during a function held at the IDSP conference hall.
In her address, Hokhuli Sema said the BP machines are to be used in Nagaland government health care centers.
She said that CII had chalked out a national movement for mainstreaming CSR for sustained inclusiveness as part of its social development agenda.
She also informed that the CII national committee on corporate social responsibility and community development was constituted in 2001 to make CSR an actionable agenda.
Under this movement, CII Foundation was launched to work towards inclusive development by enabling effective and impactful collaborations between corporate, government, experts, civil society and communities, Sema said.
Principal Director, H& FW, Dr Kinimi lauded the CII for donating the BP machines and said the machines will be of immense help to the health centers in the state.
The BP machines are worth INR. 13 lakh.
The programme was chaired by State Head of CII Nagaland Branch, Chuba Ozukum, and attended by CII Nagaland State Council vice chairman and CEO of Entrepreneur Associates, Neichute Doulo, and host of officers from the directorate of H&FW.
