Karbi Anglong’s second biggest open stage at Umswai

Diphu, Oct. 10 (EMN):  Chief Executive Member (CEM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Tuliram Ronghang inaugurated the second biggest open stage at Umswai  under Amri, Member of Autonomous Council (MAC) constituency in West Karbi Anglong on Monday.

Inaugurating the open stage, the CEM said, “The biggest open stage was in Duarbagori MAC constituency and second biggest open stage is here in Umswai. I am glad to inaugurate the second biggest open stage constructed under a state government-sponsored scheme.”

To reach potable water to every household, the CEM said, “Under Greater Umswai Water Supply Scheme, in one year we will be able to connect the pipeline water supply to every household of Umswai.”

He also informed the gathering that Lang-erdang High School will be provincialised. School building and one auditorium will be granted for the school, he added.

 The CEM also said the development of 85 km PWD road from Nillie to Ulukunchi under Assam government sponsored scheme will be taken up. Solar lights will be installed on roadsides and waiting sheds.

MLAs Bidyasing Engleng and Rupsing Teron, local MAC of Amri and executive member, KAAC, D Uphing Maslai , other EMs and MACs attended the programme.
