Kohima, Oct. 14 (EMN): A total of 124 players turned up for the ‘Fierce Open Badminton Tournament’ organised by Kohima Town Christian Revival Church Youth Fellowship (KTCRCYF) on Friday.
The championship is being held at Grand Vista Arena, Meriema, in Kohima and will culminate on Saturday.
Chairman, Nagaland Khadi & Village Industries Board (NKVIB), Dr. Neiphrezo Keditsu, the guest of honour of the inaugural function, in his speech stressed on the need for mastering specific skills.
He lamented that Naga people tend to be ‘Jack of all trades and master of none’ and exhorted the players to master a specific game.
The semi-final and final matches of the different categories will be played on October 15 from 8 am onwards.
