KBC Jubilee Trophy: Chakhesang BC, Dihoma CRC

Kohima, Oct. 24 (EMN): Chakhesang BC and Dihoma CRC on Monday won their respective matches to advance to the next stage of the Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC) Jubilee Trophy.

Undeterred by the heavy downpour throughout the day, the love for football and spirit of jubilee went on as scheduled at Meriema village play field in Kohima.

In the first match, Chakhesang BC upset Holy Cross Church Chedema with a solitary goal made by Wekulhi to end the game.

Meanwhile, in the second match of the day played between Dihoma CRC and Meriema CRC the match went in favour of the former 2-1.

In the 6th minute, Ruovisie Yashu opened the account for Dihoma CRC and Kevilelhuo Yashu in the 15th minute to the team’s advantage.

After resumption of the second half of the match, Kevineituo added a goal for Meriema CRC but the team was unsuccessful to equalise the match.

Tuesday’s match (October 25)

• 1st Match: Chiephobozou BC vs Meriema BC at 12 pm
•  2nd Match: Koinonia A vs Koinonia B at 2 pm
