Imphal, Oct. 30 (EMN): Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh launched the Imphal-Aizawl-Imphal Alliance Air flight through video conferencing here at the Bir Tikendrajit International Airport on Sunday.
Among others, Union ministers Jyotiraditya Scindia (Civil Aviation), Kiren Rijiju (Law & Justice), union minister of state for Civil Aviation Gen. (retd) VK Singh), chief ministers of Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram minister of state for Tourism, Robert Romawia Royte, attended the video conference of the launching programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Biren Singh said the promises made by the Prime Minister to the people of the North East have come to realisation not only in connectivity but also in various sectors.
Singh said connecting Imphal-Aizawl-Imphal five times a week will tremendously improve not only connectivity in terms of business but also increase the attachment between the communities of the two states.
He further added that the launching of airlines from Assam (Lilabari) to Arunachal Pradesh (Ziro) – Lilabari-Ziro-Lilabari under the Civil Aviation Ministry will make the North East smaller.
