Nagaland set to host G20 Business Summit; about 110 delegates from various countries expected
DIMAPUR — Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Wednesday said the state is preparing for the upcoming G20 Business Summit to be held in the state capital next month
Delegates from various countries are scheduled to arrive in the state on special flights for the summit on April 4.
‘Preparations are underway to host G20 Business Summit at Kohima on April 5. The Summit will focus on agri and allied services, food processing industry and tourism. I am hopeful the event will not only create investment opportunities but also showcase the strengths of Nagaland,’ tweeted CM on Wednesday.
The chief secretary of Nagaland had earlier updated that at least 110 delegates — about 100 from 28 G20 countries and the remaining from international organisations – are expected to attend the G20 Business Summit.
He further informed that business delegates from big continental corporations, ambassadors and other senior representatives of their respective countries will attend the event.
The delegates will be accorded a formal welcome at Capital Cultural Hall in Kohima upon their arrival in the state on April 4, before holding business meetings at the State Banquet Hall the following day, April 5. A cultural evening and dinner will also be organised for them at Kisama Heritage Village.
