Karbi Anglong destroys banned drugs worth more than 40 crore

DIPHU — As part of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking observation, the Karbi Anglong police on Monday destroyed seized narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances worth INR 48,40,05,900 (forty-eight crore, forty lakh, five thousand nine hundred) by burning them inside the chimney of a brick kiln, 7th Miles in Diphu Manja Road.

The destruction of the narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances was done by order from the District Drug Disposal Committee, Karbi Anglong and with due clearance from the State Pollution Control Board.
