Faith in Action from Nagaland sets world record
KOHIMA— In a commendable feat, Faith in Action Martial Arts Academy from Nagaland, set a world record for “highest martial arts kick (assisted)” last week.
“The highest martial arts kick (assisted) was achieved by Faith in Action Martial Arts Academy (India) on the set of India’s Got Talent, in Mumbai, India on 5 July 2023,” read the Guinness World Records (GWR) certificate awarded to the martial art team.
Earlier last month, the Faith in Action team left for Mumbai to participate in the India’s Got Talent (studio round) after getting through auditions and mega auditions. The team had informed that they would attempt a “Guinness World Record” at another event and sought people’s support.
After creating a new Guinness World Record earlier this month, the team said: “Another win for India. Let’s make Nagaland proud!”
Meanwhile, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio took to Twitter to congratulate the team.
“I am happy to know that Faith in Action from Nagaland created a new Guinness World Records for ‘the highest martial arts kick (assisted)’ on the set of India’s Got Talent, in Mumbai, on July 5, 2023. Congratulations and best wishes for all future endeavours,” he wrote.
