Dimapur, July 21 (EMN): A new counseling centre called NT_Revivify Counseling Service was inaugurated on Friday at KS Wotsami Complex, Golaghat road, NST Colony, Dimapur.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, the proprietor of NT_Revivify Counseling Service, Niutoli Tuccu, who is also a licensed rehabilitation psychologist (RCI), stated that Nagas often labeled most mental illness like psychosis especially withdrawal symptoms or schizophrenia as demon possessed.
She has emphasised on the importance of counseling saying that depression also hampers pregnancy because of estrogen and progesterone level which creates hormonal imbalances.
She added that many people are not aware of how their irrational thoughts and stresses affect their physical health. She thanked her clients from both national and international for their positive responses and also enabled her enhance her skills.
To avoid being misdiagnosed, she has suggested consulting a licensed or properly trained counselors/ psychologists or therapists.
As most book stores in Dimapur do not have good books on psychology/ psychotherapy, she has assured to lend them to any interested students free of cost.
The programme was chaired by Kughahoto Awomi, pastor of Nagamese Baptist Church, Hukavi Colony, Dimapur.
