Don Bosco College Kohima (DBCK) has welcomed the students during its 9th fresher’s day
DIMAPUR — Don Bosco College Kohima (DBCK) has welcomed the students during its 9th fresher’s day programme held on August 5 with Helievi-o Solo, chairman of Kohima village council as the special invitee.
Speaking on the occasion, Solo stated that the college not only focus on education but works in a 360-degree manner by developing personal qualities such as leadership, teamwork, determination, flexibility, confidence, self-belief, respect etc. He urged the youngsters to take initiatives, responsibilities and indulge in extracurricular activities.

He further encouraged the students to not only secure degree but strive to be the best in their academic pursuit.
Highlights of the programme included cultural presentation and songs performed by the students. It stated that Mhao T Shitri of Political Science department and Küvetholii Vero of Sociology department were crowned Mr and Miss Fresher for the year 2023-2024.
Alice Khongsai from the English department spoke on behalf of the freshers, while the former Miss Fresher shared her experience and advised the students to have confidence and to love oneself.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Zarenbeni, social and culture secretary.
