DIMAPUR — Nagaland Governor La. Ganesan and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio have extended Mongmong greetings to the Sangtam community.
“Mongmong festival is celebrated as a thanksgiving festival for the bountiful harvest. It is also the time for seeking blessings and prosperity from the almighty.
Mongmong festival is marked by paying visits to our near and dear ones, including close friends and sharing of feasts for good health and unity among the community,” the governor said in his greetings.
“Greetings to the Sangtam community on the occasion of Mongmong. May the festivity foster brotherhood and bring blessings of abundant harvest and good fortune in everyone’s life,” the chief minister wrote in his X (formerly Twitter) account.
