Diphu Government College to conduct election as per Lyngdoh Committee

DIPHU — The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), East Karbi Anglong, has expressed gratitude to the principal of Diphu Government College (DGC), Dr. Nirab Kumar Sarmah, as the institution is set to conduct election to the DGC Student’s Union Society (DGCSUS) as per the recommendations of the Lyngdoh Committee.

An update issued on Monday informed that the DGC administration will hold election to student body following the Lyngdoh committee’s recommendations.

According to the recommendations of the Lyngdoh committee, elections to the student’s unions in educational institutions should be held annually from among the students only, without any interference from criminals and political parties in the election process.
