MoS distributes appointment letters to 110 recruits from Nagaland
DIMAPUR — Minister of State (MoS) for Petroleum and Natural gas, Labour and Employment, Rameswar Teli, on Saturday handed over appointment letters to 110 new recruits from Nagaland.
The appointment letters from various government departments including Railways, Department of Higher Education, DFS Bank, Department of Posts, Defence, etc., were distributed during the Rozgar Mela held at St Mary’s Higher Secondary School in Dimapur.
Addressing the mela, the MoS asserted that the priority of the government is to create new employment opportunities for all and promote schemes to make the country self-reliant.
Affirming that the central government is continuously committed to economic development works, Teli claimed there has been a continuous decline in the unemployment rate due to the efforts of the government.
He also said that special attention is being given to promote self-employment.
He went on to express confidence that the selected candidates will contribute towards building a self-reliant nation by working with the government, which will also improve their quality of life and economy of the country.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also addressed the National Rozgar Mela via video conferencing, wherein 37 venues across the country were connected with the mela and more than 51,000 appointment letters was distributed to newly inducted recruits in various government departments and organisations.
The prime minister noted in his address that the journey of rozgar melas has reached an important milestone since its commencement in October last year, providing government jobs to lakhs of youths in various rozgar melas at the Centre and NDA-ruled states and union territories.
