NCD announces office closure
DIMAPUR — The Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) has informed the citizens of Dimapur and the public in general that its office will remain closed from December 14, 2023, to January 15, 2024, on account of Christmas and the New Year. Former SSPN cadet graduates from IMA
DIMAPUR — A former cadet of Sainik School Punglwa, Nagaland (SSPN), Ngacho Yoka Heche, graduated from the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun, on December 10. An update from SSPN mentioned that he is the third cadet from Sainik School Punglwa, Nagaland, to have successfully completed his training at the National Defence Academy, Pune, and the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun.
FGN terminates member from service
DIMAPUR — The Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has terminated its member, Hong Tong Konyak, Interim Midan Peyu of Konyak region, from service with immediate effect. In an update, the FGN stated that anybody collaborating and working with him from now on in the name of the government shall be doing so at their own risk. Further, it advised the Konyak region’s national workers to jointly work and strengthen the region’s government.
10-day CATC underway in Dimapur
DIMAPUR — A 10-day Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) 29 of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) is being conducted by 1 Nagaland Girls Battalion NCC, Kohima, under the aegis of NCC Group Hq., beginning on December 11 at Greenwood School, Dimapur. An update mentioned that the camp is being attended by over 550 cadets from the senior and junior divisions of affiliated institutions across the state. During the camp, the cadets will be trained and tested in various service subjects and will be groomed to have good military bearing and discipline.
CANSSEA executive meeting on December 15
DIMAPUR — The Confederation of All Nagaland State Services Employees’ Association (CANSSEA) is convening an executive committee meeting on December 15 at 12 pm at the conference hall of CANSSEA. An update mentioned that the executives of all the district units and two representatives of all the affiliated associations have been requested to attend the meeting.
