Winter Cricket Challenge: BBC, Rampage through to quarters
DIMAPUR — The BBC and Rampage teams have made it to the quarterfinals of the ongoing 28th Winter Cricket Challenge held at Wokha town.
In the first match, Phyolumo 11 won the toss and opted to bat first, setting a target of 149 runs while losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. While chasing the target, BBC won the match by 6 wickets in 19.3 overs and BBC’s Lawrence Humtsoe was adjudged the man of the match for claiming 2 wickets and scoring 21 runs.
In the second match, NST CC won the toss and chose to bat first, setting a target of 109 runs, losing all wickets in 18.1 overs. Rampage however, won the match by 5 wickets in 18.5 overs while chasing the target. The top scorers for Rampage were Nchum (13), Raja Kumar (49), and Mohit (16). Raja Kumar, with 49 runs not out and 3 wickets, earned the man of the match title.
