Flying squads activated in Wokha for Lok Sabha polls
DIMAPUR — Deputy commissioner (DC) of Wokha, Ajit Kumar Ranjan, has informed that, in accordance with the directive from the chief electoral officer regarding the announcement of the general election to the Lok Sabha 2024, all flying squad teams are now activated.
According to a DIPR report, they are directed to undertake immediate actions, including the removal of all wall writings, posters, banners, flags, and defacement on government property within 24 hours from the announcement of the election.
All unauthorised political advertisements in the form of wall writings, posters, papers, or any other form of defacement, including cut-outs, hoardings, banners, and flags, are to be removed from public property and public spaces within 48 hours from the announcement of the election.
Further, all unauthorised political advertisements in any form are to be removed from private property within 72 hours of the announcement of the election.
