One-day workshop on routine immunisation held in Kohima
DIMAPUR — The MOMENTUM Routine Immunisation Transformation and Equity project, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in partnership with the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Nagaland, hosted a one-day co-creation workshop for adapting human-centred design (HCD) to strengthen routine immunisation (RI) at Hotel Vivor, Kohima, on Thursday.
According to a press release welcoming the state officials and the teams from Tinkerlabs and M-RITE, Egumsing, state project manager at John Snow India (JSI), introduced the participants. Anumegha Bhatnagar delivered the welcome address, while Dr. Imkongtemsu, state immunisation officer (SIO) of Nagaland, presented the welcome note.
Olivia Nava, a design and strategy consultant at M-RITE, emphasised the significance of HCD work in bolstering demand for RI. She provided a brief overview of M-RITE’s experience in the field.
The programme was attended by medical officials from the district of Kohima and officials from the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare.
