Miss Universe Nagaland India open audition today
DIMAPUR — The open audition for the first Miss Universe Nagaland India is scheduled for July 2 at Niathu Resort, Chümoukedima. The event is being organised by the Beauty and Aesthetics Society of Nagaland (BASN), the organisers of Miss Nagaland.
The open audition for the selection of Miss Universe Nagaland India will begin at 11 am. Spot registration will be available from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, according to a press release.
The panel of judges for the audition will include Amjad Khan, director of operations and marketing for Miss Universe India, and Asmita Chakraborty, Miss Tourism India 2023, who arrived in Dimapur on Monday.
The winner of the Miss Universe Nagaland India open audition will receive a direct entry to Miss Universe India, a national-level platform affiliated with the Miss Universe pageant.
Chakraborty expressed hope of finding a representative from Nagaland who is well-rounded, authentic, fierce, and embodies grace, intelligence, and a genuine desire to make a positive contribution.
She described this mega audition as an opportunity that can change one’s life forever and a journey that will shape an individual.
Khan informed that, under the new ownership of Miss Universe India by the Glamanand Group, state auditions are being held across all 28 states of India and some of the union territories with the assistance of appointed state directors and state pageant organisations.
He further explained that earlier this year, the Miss Universe India organisation announced its expansion strategy to discover talent across the nation through a state-wise format.
This initiative will allow pageant aspirants to secure a place in the national finale of Miss Universe India and provide them with an opportunity to represent and promote their respective states at the national level.
He added that the state winners would be awarded the Miss Universe state titles.
