Thanksgiving programme for MMC councillor Bendangkumba Aier held

MOKOKCHUNG — A thanksgiving programme for Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) Councillor Bendangkumba Aier from Majakong (Ward 9) was held at the community hall in Majakong on Tuesday.

During his speech, Aier promised the electorate that he would utilise the trust they had placed in him to serve both the people of the ward and Mokokchung.

He expressed gratitude to Advisor for Law and Justice and Land Revenue TN Mannen, Advisor for Minority Affairs and Sericulture Imkongmar, and the NDPP party members for awarding him the party ticket.

He also acknowledged the core committee and the Sumi community for their support, as well as the Majakong Ward Authority for their commitment to a clean election and for ensuring that the electioneering process was conducted peacefully and without incident.

Aier commended his opponent for upholding ethical electioneering standards, which contributed to a calm and peaceful atmosphere throughout the election period in the ward.

Lauding his opponent’s vision for the ward, he affirmed that it would not be overlooked but rather valued and integrated into the development plans for the ward.
