Youth get insight of job opportunity in corporate sector
DIMAPUR — With an objective to encourage the Naga youth take up job in corporate sector, a seminar was organised by Toka Multipurpose Cooperative Society (MPCS) in partnership with Expertrons, a career guidance service, at IMC Hall in Dimapur on Wednesday with Anil Tripathi, senior vice president of business at Expertrons, as the resource person.
Speaking at the seminar, Kati Chishi, managing director of Toka MPCS, has assured to organise more of such workshops in order to give the youth the right job. He informed that only 0.01 % of the state population is working in corporate sector. He opined that the reason for low number of employees in corporate sector could be due to lack of skills among the Nagas as required by the companies.
He also pointed out that the economy in Nagaland is not rising as there are no big companies or industries in the state.
During interaction session, Anil Tripathi advised the students not to wake up late in life or else they might miss the bus of life and also not to take up late the life decisions.
He informed that there are four sectors with maximum employment possibilities including BFSI (banking, financial services and insurance), tourism, auto mobile, and retailing.
While there might be various career options, he advised the youth to first opt for BFSI sector if they want to build a career. He added that the resume should be fitting for every opportunity.
Meanwhile, the general secretary of Sumi Students’ Union, Dimapur, Kasheto Kiba, has appreciated the organisers for organising the seminar and expressed hope that the event would change the lives of the participants.
