Agriculture department bids farewell to outgoing APC
DIMAPUR — Agriculture and Allied Department bade farewell to its outgoing Agriculture Production Commissioner (APC), and Director General of Administrative Training Institute (ATI), R Binchilo Thong, during a programme held at Hotel De Orential in Kohima on December 20.
The department congratulated the retiring APC and lauded him for his valuable contribution at various levels during his entire service career, an update from the Agriculture department stated.
Short speeches were delivered by Bandanglila, additional director of ATI; Dr. Kruolalie Tsurho, team leader of NBRM; Chonpenthung Ezung, deputy secretary of Agriculture (ELEMENT); and M Ben Yanthan, director of Agriculture.
The service profile of the outgoing officer was highlighted by Khonthungo Lotha, joint secretary of Agriculture.
Delivering his farewell speech, Binchilo Thong, stated that his 37 years and 11 months of service under the Government of Nagaland was a big achievement. He encouraged the officers and staff to seek the cooperation of the people and uphold team spirit for the improvement of department. He also shared his experiences of work in various levels of his service career.
The programme was chaired by Sushil Kumar Patel, Commissioner and Secretary of Agriculture (S&WC), while the vote of thanks was delivered by Kietuo Doulo, Under Secretary of Agriculture.
