Assam CM to inaugurate Karbi Anglong guest house in Shillong
DIPHU — The chief executive member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Tuliram Ronghang, on Thursday visited Shillong to oversee the newly constructed building of Karbi Hemtun, a guest house, which is set to be inaugurated on September 12.
According to sources, the newly constructed Karbi Hemtun would be inaugurated by Assam Chief Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma, while Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma, and CEM of Khasi Hill Autonomous District Council (KHADC), Pynaiaid Syiem, would also attend the inaugural programme.
Taking to facebook, Tuliram wrote: “Met the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya Mr Conrad K Sangma, he accepted our invitation to attend as special guest of honoyr on 12th September 2023 during the inauguration of New Karbi Hemtun building in Shillong to be inaugurated by our Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma. I also invited him to the 50th Golden Jubilee Celebration of Karbi Youth Festival 2024 to be held in the month of January 2024. We also discussed the border issue, the need to maintain peace, and to discuss as per government notified boundaries.”
