DIMAPUR — The Assam Rifles conducted a lecture at Government Primary School, Pungro town, aimed at educating the local community about the importance of preventing child labour and promoting children’s rights.
The lecture was well attended by 42 students, parents, and teachers, according to an update.
During the lecture, the speakers emphasised the significance of education and the importance of ensuring every child has the opportunity to learn and grow in a safe environment.
Following it, a drawing competition was organised on the theme “A child’s dream, a world without child labour.” The event concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winners of the drawing competition.
At Wakching, Mon district, Assam Rifles organised a football match between their troops and the local youth of Wakching.
It was mentioned that the event was conducted to promote sports among youth and villagers and the youth also got the opportunity to closely interact with the troops from various regions of India.
