Assam Rifles conducts Scouts and Guides camp in Phelungre
KIPHIRE — The Assam Rifles conducted a Scouts and Guides camp at John Yesong Memorial School in Phelungre village under Kiphire district from October 9 to 12th.
The camp was aimed at enhancing the skills, teamwork and leadership qualities of the youth. It saw the participation of 52 students and 6 teachers from five schools in Kiphire town.
In line with its commitment to community development and youth empowerment, Assam Rifles provided extensive support including tentage, logistical backing and other essential resources. Those efforts ensured a secure and enriching experience for all participants.
As part of the camp activities, a motivational lecture was given by company commander from Phleungre Company Operating Base (COB) during the campfire, inspiring the Scouts and Guides to build their character by embracing the values of self-discipline, social service and patriotism.
The youth were also encouraged to consider a career in the armed forces as a fulfilling way to serve the nation.
