Dimapur, Sep. 7 (EMN): The Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) conducted various programme at different locations in the state.
The Kiphire battalion provided medical assistance to a civilian, who was bitten by a snake while working in the paddy field on September 5 at Kukegwo village in Phek district, an update informed.
The patient was administered first aid and medical care. The patient was also screened for Covid-19 symptoms and admitted in the unit hospital.
In a separate programme, the Jalukie battalion reached out to the local populace by providing medical assistance and essential commodities at Christian Servanthood Ministry, Orphanage home in Peren on Sunday.
A total of 14 children and one staff member attended the event. The participants acknowledged the the Assam Rifles and expressed gratitude for the interaction, it informed.
Also, the Khonsa battalion celebrated Teachers’ Day on September 5 at the Assam Rifles Public School, Khonsa and felicitated the teachers.
