Auto Expo 2023: Toyota Kirloskar Motor unveils exciting new products and technologies

Automobile maker, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM), recently showcased its exciting range of products and technologies at the Auto Expo 2023 in India. The theme of the expo was “Thrill and Joy of Moving Together”, and the Toyota stall was divided into three distinct zones: Technology Zone, Emotional Zone, and Sustainability Zone.

In the Technology Zone, TKM displayed an array of advanced electrified and green alternate fuel technologies, with a focus on carbon neutrality and a greener future. One of the main exhibits in this zone was the newly launched Innova Hycross, which is a perfect vehicle for families with its spacious interiors, good performance and ride comfort.

Other exhibits in this zone included the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Vellfire, Camry Hybrid, and Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) like the bZ4X. The stall also showcased hydrogen-based vehicles like the Mirai Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEV) and the Corolla Cross H2 Concept and other Electrified Vehicle (xEV) technology vehicles like Prius Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) and Corolla Altis Flexi-Fuel Strong Hybrid Electric Vehicles (FF-SHEV).

The Emotional Zone was designed to connect with consumer aspirations and the thrill of driving a Toyota. The main exhibits in this zone included the all-new lifestyle vehicle Hilux, the Urban Cruiser Hyryder Neo Drive, the Fortuner, the Legender, the modified Cool Glanza hatchback, and the New Landcruiser LC300. The Hilux is renowned for its extreme toughness and boldness across terrains, while the Urban Cruiser Hyryder Neo Drive is a best-in-segment B-SUV with features like AWD, panoramic sunroof, 17-inch alloy wheels, wireless charger, Heads Up Display (HUD), and a 360-degree camera.

Finally, the Sustainability Zone highlighted TKM’s commitment to sustainability and environment-friendly goals. This zone included a scale model of the TKM plant and showed videos on the Toyota 2050 challenge and actions from TKM that reflects “the company’s vision, philosophy and commitment for a sustainable future by achieving harmony between its manufacturing activities and the environment.”

Overall, Toyota’s display at the Auto Expo 2023 was a showcase of the company’s commitment to meeting the aspirations and evolving needs of their customers, and delivering “Mass Happiness to All”. “With over 25 years of operations in India, Toyota has built a strong reputation for customer satisfaction, earning the trust of over 2 million customers in the country,” the company said in a press release.
