Ayushman Bhava launched in different districts across state

DIMAPUR — The Ayushman Bhava campaign was launched in the state’s various districts on Wednesday, along with the rest of the country. The campaign aims to provide optimal delivery of health schemes to every intended beneficiary.

Kohima: Rhosietho Nguori, guest of honour and ADC, Kohima, launched the Ayushman Bhava for Kohima district at NHAK, Kohima.

According to a DIPR report, speaking on the occasion and emphasising the importance of health issues, he said that a balanced diet and a balanced lifestyle are the needs of the hour to reduce health issues.

Today, health is more important than wealth, he said, adding that people require a collective approach to propagate and spread the message of health issues and their relationship with diet and a balanced lifestyle.

Nguori also urged all stakeholders, churches, and non-governmental organisations to help bring this mission to everyone and to the most remote parts of the state at all levels and make it a success.

Dr. Imnapokim said, while presenting a slide show on ‘eye donation,’ that according to WHO, one person loses eyesight every five seconds, and that corneal transplant, which can be obtained through eye donation, is one of the key treatment options for dealing with corneal blindness. He also mentioned that approximately 40 people in the state have recently pledged to donate their eyes.

Dr. Avila Sangtam, while emphasising blood donation activities, stated that her team has visited various colleges to raise awareness about blood donation, and volunteers from various colleges have donated blood. She also stated that their team will be visiting other colleges in the coming days to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation.

Dr. Sendimeren Aonok, chairperson and MD of NHAK, highlighted details of Ayushman Bhava, saying that the campaign aims to ensure optimum delivery of health schemes to intended beneficiaries, particularly in remote areas and for people from economically weaker sections.

He went on to say that the Ayushman Bhava campaign has three major components: the distribution of Ayushman cards or ‘Ayushman Apke Dwar 3.0,’ a health campaign called ‘Ayushman Mela,’ and awareness meetings called ‘Ayushman Sabha.’

These programmes, he said, are intended to improve healthcare accessibility and raise health awareness across the country.

During the programme, the NHAK also felicitated professor Kavitoli of Mount Olive College, who donated blood for the ninth time and plans to donate more.

Phek: DC Phek Kuko Mero launched Ayushman Bhava in Phek at the Dr. Wethselo T Mero Memorial Hall of District Hospital Phek.

According to a press release, the Ayushman Bhava campaign, which will run from September 17 to October 2, is an initiative to raise awareness about various health care schemes and to saturate critical health care services in rural and urban areas through three major components: Ayushman Apke Dwar 3.0, Ayushman Mela, and Ayushman Sabha.

Dr. Pewezo Khalo, DPO (RCH/UIP) highlighted the various activities that will be carried out during the campaign in all CHCs and health and wellness centres.

Dr. Chukhusie, DTO, gave a brief presentation on Nikshay Mitra during the launching ceremony, and MLA Kuzholuzo Azo Nienu was recognised as the highest Nikshay Mitra supporter.

DPOs, ward chairmen, NGOs, doctors, nurses, and staff from the CMO and district hospital attended the programme.

Zunheboto: The Ayushman Bhava campaign was launched in Zunheboto at the District Hospital Zunheboto conference hall with DC Rahul Bhanudas Mali as the special guest.

Mali stated in his speech that the main goal of this campaign is to give importance to health care, which is an umbrella initiative for increased awareness about various health care schemes and to saturate critical health care services in rural and urban areas.

He highlighted the campaign’s major components, such as Ayushman Apke Dwar 3.0, which will distribute Ayushman cards to all remaining eligible beneficiaries under PM-JAY and ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left out. Ayushman Mela, which will be a weekly health mela held at all Ayush HWCs, will primarily focus on optimising utilisation of health care services and raising awareness.

Ayushman Sabha is a village level activity for rural areas to be initiated by the GB, VHC, and health workers and for urban areas to be led by the town council, chairman to raise awareness about various health care schemes and services such as Ayushman cards, ABHA IDs, sickle cell disease, immunisation, TB patient identification, and so on.

He further talked about the importance of blood donation camps and the health benefits of blood donation. He encouraged the participants to donate organs voluntarily, which will give a new lease on life to those in need.

In his keynote address, Dr. K Akaho Sema, Dy. CMO, stated that the Ayushman Bhava campaign, which will begin on September 17, will be observed across all health units to create awareness among the general public, particularly at the grassroots level, about various health services and schemes that will benefit the public in general.

He also encouraged health workers to give health talks in all health facilities.

Longleng: Longleng District Health Society, along with the rest of the country, launched Ayushman Bhava on Wednesday at District Hospital Longleng.

During the brief launching ceremony, Dr. Tiasunep, CMO Longleng, delivered the welcome address and provided an overview of the Ayushman Bhava, emphasising its goals and objectives. He also stated that the programme is being implemented in order to reach out to people and provide health services.

S Chingmei Konyak, EAC Longleng, Dr. Imnameren Phom, DPO (RCH/UIP), Dr. Kerisunu Sakhrie, senior specialist, Phomla Hoichem, and CMO staff attended the launching programme.

Mokokchung: Ayushman Bhava was launched in Mokokchung at the conference hall of the CMO in the presence of the CMO, medical superintendent Mokokchung, Dy. CMO, programme officers, CMO staff, church members, and representatives from the line departments and civil societies.

While exhorting the participants, chief guest Ajit Kumar stated that the campaign is a comprehensive nationwide initiative to achieve universal health coverage, reaching every village and town in the country and ensuring that no one is left behind.

During the launch programme, all Nikshay Mitras received certificates of appreciation. The district has 36 Nikshay Mitras registered, and they support 120 TB patients by providing nutritional supplements every month.
