WOKHA — In a significant move to enhance educational and professional development opportunities for students, Bailey Baptist College in Wokha signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Academy of Computer Training (ACT) on Tuesday.
The MoU was signed at the principal’s office, marking the beginning of a collaborative partnership, aimed at improving students’ skills in information technology and computer training.
The event was attended by representatives from both institutions including the principal of Bailey Baptist College, senior faculty and officials from ACT.
Speaking on the occasion, Penthungo Lotha, principal Bailey Baptist College, expressed confidence that the partnership would open new avenues for students and equip them with the necessary technical skills to excel in a competitive job market.
“This MoU with ACT is a step towards providing our students with comprehensive training and professional expertise in the field of computer technology. We look forward to a fruitful collaboration that will benefit both our students and faculty,” the principal said.
The collaboration with ACT, a renowned institution specialising in computer training and IT education, was expected to offer students access to advanced training modules, hands-on experience and industry-aligned certifications.
“Through this MoU, Bailey Baptist College aims to integrate practical computer training with its academic curriculum, thereby enhancing the employability of its graduates,” Lotha added.
Benri Tungoe, the proprietor of ACT, also shared their excitement about the partnership, highlighting the importance of bridging the gap between academic learning and practical skills.
The MoU marked a strategic initiative by Bailey Baptist College, Wokha, to keep pace with technological advancements and provide its students with valuable learning opportunities, preparing them for future challenges in the digital world.
