BJP to give all-out support to NDPP candidate

Dimapur, Oct. 17 (EMN): With the objective of maintaining a strong bond of unity within the alliance partner in letter and spirit, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nagaland state unit has unanimously resolved to give all-out support to its alliance partner Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) candidate in the upcoming bye-election.

This was informed through a press release by the state BJP president Temjen Imna Along on Saturday.

“As per our seat sharing arrangement and our commitment to strengthen the PDA government, the NDPP has filed nomination in the 14-Southern Angami- 1 assembly constituency, Medo Yhokha as its candidate while BJP filed nomination in the 60-Pungro-Kiphire assembly constituency with Lirimong Sangtam as party candidate,” he stated.

The sate BJP also expressed delight at the suggestion placed by its alliance partner NDPP for setting up of co-ordination committee comprising members from both the parties at the district and assembly constituency level for better understanding and co-ordination.

Therefore, the BJP has directed its karyakartas, rank and file, morchas and cells to extend all possible help and assistance to the PDA candidate to the 14-Southern Angami assembly constituency in the upcoming bye-election, slated to be held on November 3.
