DIMAPUR — Representatives from the district administration, NHIDCL, contractor and other stakeholders held a coordination meeting to discussion on the 2-lane road construction on August 4 in the office of the additional deputy commissioner (ADC) in Meluri.
A DIPR report stated that Rohit Rane, representing NHIDCL, provided an overview of the ongoing project, while Kezhaleo Rülho, contractor from KKB Rülho, gave insights into the project’s progress. It stated that Rülho has expressed confidence in achieving 35% completion by December 2023, with the overall project set for completion by December 2024.
Stakeholders including village council chairmen from Akhegwo, Meluri, Riehuope, and Khumiasü have stressed on the importance of maintaining quality workmanship and meeting deadlines. Various stakeholders also emphasised on adhering to the detail project report (DPR) specifications.
It stated that following a field inspection at the Akhegwo section, stakeholders raised concerns about specific chainage points. It added that the contractor has assured to make adjustments according to DPR guidelines to address the concerns raised by the stakeholders.
ADC of Meluri, Albert Ezung, initiated and chaired the coordination meeting.
