As per the Press information Bureau, government of India has been following a containment strategy for limiting the spread of Covid in the country. In order to facilitate the implementation of the same at ground level Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued containment plans for clusters and large outbreaks. These plans are flexible and can be adapted to any situation. A model micro-plan has also been made available to the states and UTs in this regard.

Central multi-disciplinary teams have been deployed to 25 states and UTs. These teams have worked together with state and district administrations to further strengthen and refine containment operations, Covid-19 testing and management of hospital capacities, it informed.
