Curtain on Longleng inter-departmental sports meet

Dimapur, Dec. 2 (EMN): The closing ceremony programme of Longleng district second inter-departmental sports meet -cum-commemoration of Nagaland Statehood Day celebration was held at Multi-purpose hall, Longleng, on December 1, with DC Longleng, Dharam Raj, as special guest.

A DIPR report stated that the DC in his address congratulated all the departments which have participated and won citations in the three-day event.

Raj said the significance of the sports meet is to create a sense of cooperation and competitiveness among the departments and staffs.

Congratulating the Naga people on the occasion of Statehood Day celebration, the DC said the day must be celebrated with feelings of oneness and brotherhood, and that Nagas must be proud of their unique identity and culture.

The DC also handed over the prices to the winners.
